Peoria Wedding Photographer > Charissa & Dan Detroit Wedding

I first met Charissa & Dan at a wedding I shot a few years ago.  I’m pretty sure they hold the record for most miles I’ve traveled to shoot a wedding… we did their engagement session in Atlanta where they live, and their wedding was in Detroit, Charissa’s hometown.  Downtown Detroit is a photographer’s paradise, there’s a gorgeous waterfront park that looks across to Canada, murals painted on walls, and an endless supply of … Continued

Galena Wedding Photographer > Alison & Rob Married

I love shooting In Galena… the downtown area looks like Europe, and the outskirts of town look like Napa Valley.  The Goldmoor Inn is settled just outside of town, and was a beautiful setting for a beautiful couple to get married.  Here are a few of my favorites:   Some Vendor Love- Goldmoor Inn- Ceremony/Reception Venue, Caterer Ken Kilian Saxtet- Band/ MC

Chicago Engagement Photographer > Chelsea & Brian Engaged

“Can we bring our dog with for a few photos?” “Absolutely, I love dogs” “Great, we really wanted to have a couple with him, but he’s really big and sometimes people are scared of him” “No problem, my wife and I have a mastiff… we love huge dogs” “I’m so glad, he’s a really important part of our lives.  He even has his own Facebook” “Wow… your dog’s on Facebook??” Despite some unseasonably cold weather … Continued

Galena Engagement Photographer > Alison & Rob Engaged

I was introduced to Alison by my friend and fellow wedding shooter Jason Holzworth after they met on safari in India.  Alison & Rob live in Santa Monica, but were in town for a few days to finalize some of the plans for their wedding in Galena later this summer.  We met up and shot their engagement in historic Grant Park, and all around the incredible downtown area.  Downtown Galena has a kind of Mediterranean feel, and is … Continued

Peoria Wedding Photographer > Natalie & Michael Married

When Natalie and Michael first booked me to shoot their December wedding, I remember Natalie saying “hopefully it doesn’t snow”…  Last winter was one of the mildest on record, so it seemed reasonable at the time.  I joked that it would probably be 80 degrees and sunny.  Well it didn’t wind up snowing on their wedding day, but it did snow all through the night before… about a foot.  So much for 80 and sunny! … Continued

Peoria Wedding Photographer > Holly & Keith Married

Holly & Keith’s wedding is one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time… they’re both good friends of mine, and they met at my wife and I’s bar, so I was really excited and honored to be able to shoot their big day.  They exchanged gifts at Bradley Park before having their ceremony and reception at the always incredible Contemporary Art Center in Downtown Peoria.  Holly looked incredible in her dress from Adore … Continued

Peoria Wedding Photographer > Charissa & Dan Engaged

Prior to last month, I’d never been to Atlanta… well, a layover at the airport, but that’s not really going to Atlanta.  So when Charissa and Dan told me they wanted to shoot their engagement down there, I was pretty excited.  I love shooting in unfamiliar settings (especially a major metro area with so much to offer) and a three-day weekend out of town definitely wasn’t a bad way to spend my last engagement shoot of 2013. … Continued

Peoria Wedding Photographer > Natalie & Michael Engaged

Awesome/adorable couple, fantastic weather, what more can you ask for??  Natalie & Michael were up for anything in their engagement shoot.  When the sprinklers first kicked on, I wasn’t sure if they’d be willing to run through the water for “one last photo”.  Turns out they were perfectly happy to just hang out in the sprinklers for a while for a bunch of “last” photos.  Here area few of my favorites:

Peoria Wedding Photographer > Taylor & Kevin Married

Taylor and Kevin’s wedding was awesome… I know everyone says that about every wedding, but their’s really was.  The ceremony was at First United Methodist in Normal, and the reception was at the Packard in Peoria, which I photograph all the time.  From the bride’s feather-adorned dress, veil, and bouquet, to the groom/ groomsmen’s orange on black suits with superhero t-shirts, every detail was cool and fun.  They even let me ride around for a bit … Continued

Peoria Wedding Photographer > Sarah & Kevin Married

Sarah & Kevin’s wedding was at the historic (and scenic) Watchtower Lodge at Blackhawk State Park in the Quad Cities.  The bride, groom, and wedding party braved some brutally hot weather, and we were able to get some great photos.  Here are a few of my favorites: The bridal party’s gorgeous bouquets were done by Seeded Earth Growers in Muscatine IA. Awesome 4- tiered cake from MeMe’s Treat Boutique in Homer, IL. Sas DJs in … Continued
